You have 2 choices.
- Isolate yourself from this mess, and attempt to create your own place.
- Fix the mess, by helping fix the people that caused the mess.

Some may call it a 6th sense, a third eye. When you sense something you should not be physically sensing. For moments when you feel something is not right, although you are alright. Consider that maybe we can sense other people around us. As if we’re all connected. Like a web of a spider, every point to create a big image. A “body” if you will.

Now put this to your perspective. If you are around things that are just not right, and people who suffer from it. You see it, it’s sickening, and you want to get away from it. You’re completely right, I’m with you.

But.. what is a cell without the rest of the body? I think an equivalent of this could be to put a man out into a forest, and see if he can get online. This man might know all about electronics and computing. But no, he has no electricity to work with. He becomes a dead cell. A chopped down tree, a stump that failed to prosper.

The second choice, just might be the right one. We’re all broken in one way or another. None of us is perfect. How can any of us grow without someone kind enough to think for us and help? Could this be a life purpose?

Call it a dilemma, but..

You have 2 choices.
- Isolate yourself from this mess, and attempt to create your own place.
- Fix the mess, by helping fix the people that caused the mess.

No love for love
I hear the sound of them putting me away

The memorable lyrics of Club of the Sons‘ song entitled “Shop Rules” comes to mind when I think about the beings that surround me this day.

As a child you’re born into a world of the unknown. The natural instinct is to learn what things are and their works. You are constantly being controlled by others, because they know better. But once you get to the point in your life when it’s time to become an equal, an independant, your choices are being made from the information that was put into you. You are still that same child behind your new title “adult”. You go through the hard times in life, you walk through the easy street. You take advantage of the world that you know (your surroundings). You’re a bit more open to settling, and as you grow old you see things a bit better from your experience. But you’re still that child you were, and you’re still what you were/are taught and what you were/are around.

From my point of view, everything is fake. Everything is made with an expiring date already set. All our physical works break one day or the next. All the sentences we take as to live by, are never straight, they all depend on the situation. We only like them because we can partly relate. We see the great big system around our lives, but we’re too busy living our life, we ignore to think outside our knowledge. Alternative is rarely real, how do we not get tired of given plastic choices to make?

Compare any of the age groups to my point of view, and you get a conflict. Those that are around me seem to be held under by something. There is very little-to-none soul in everyday people and everyday life. I do love people at their core, but such love makes no sense to one under this odd spell. I’m being pushed back as a result.

Today, all I see are: Children, children who could have seen that bug when it happened. No love for love, I hear the sound of them putting me away.

Remember the time you suddenly became extremely busy? You suddenly got life thrown at you from all sides, it was great, but it seemed like a big rush. Could you take it apart and do it one step at a time?

See when it’s dark early before the sunlight, the sun does not shine through ray after ray. It’s dark, and when it is time – you notice a slow change in atmosphere, the whole sky lights up, colors brighten, birds start “twittering”. It’s not a simple task to start the day, or keep it going.

You try one step at a time, but you’re lazy. It’s not that you can’t, or that you can. You just probably won’t be able to pull it off.

“It takes a miracle kaleidoscope superior, spinning vortex, bleeding shades of night to day.” (Earthsuit – Sky Flashings)

Bring life. Life is that big chunk of things that happen. Less things, less life. Start living it, right? Just don’t hurt yourself?

A few hours ago, I had myself convinced to delete this blog. Reasons being, this takes time and I haven’t posted anything since Nov 2008. But I realized that this blog is a good thing, and that time can be arranged.

Hi. How’s 2009 going. I’m alright, slowly progressing.

It’s interesting just how ungrateful we all are. (Fun subject, no?)

Our neighbor brings us a cake. We acknowledge the good will, but we do not truely accept the good will; we feel bad that we didn’t do something as nice. We then try to beat their good will with ours.

We eat the delicious cake, it’s the best we’ve ever had! We should be very happy at this point. But it doesn’t stop there. Instead of accepting what we have (a nice neighbor who makes the best cakes), we want more. We’ll probably ask for the recipe. The neighbor is nice enough to give it to us, and we are happy.

We do not live out our role in the world, instead we decide to take what’s good in the world and incorporate it into our own little world (without the annoying yet very nice neighbor). We have no class. Our character is slim, we live in our own head, in an imaginary world. It’s all about “me”, not about “who I am”.

Your character is who you are as a human being. This is something you build, this is something you become, because living by feel has no class.

Open for discussion.

For a moment, take a look at your life from the up-right side view. Where are you in the life that you have in mind for yourself? Whether you fought hard for something or gave up on everything, where are you now?

Everything that we get into is a circular track field. We run through these tracks with the clock running. We run in the tracks learning new things, sometimes we feel like quiting, at other times it’s so easy that we would like to run a track a few extra times. How many times have you lapped your tracks?

We end up running through all that we already know, we run through it so many times that we forget everything else. We only see our track point of view, our endless lane. We say and do things that we don’t mean, we’re just used to it. We’re scarred of what we do not know, we are more comfortable running our tracks over and over. After time we might move on with some things, as well as find new tracks.

Perhaps traditions and comforts are enough for a lifetime. But is there something more? I’ve been thinking for some time now, and I still can’t quite say it right. Roughly put, can someone live in a constant state of change? Can we be willing to learn like a child, absorb knowledge, sort it out in our head, and live by our best answer while still constantly absorbing new ideas? Are we too lazy to learn? Too lazy to explore? Where are we now - what makes it so comfortable for us?

The world spins on tradition. Everything progresses slowly by circular twirling in a bowl, mixing an idea into it every now and then to progress. Money often holds things back since there’s always money to be made off of everything. But it’s the little personal things that I think are being treated too well as traditions. For example, public relations. Yes, back to the topic of the fake smiles. You can see the world turn in a glowing blur, and you’ll go through your day without even remembering what you did. Or you can see the moments at their raw source – the awkward moments. We’re just afraid.

A few months back I learned from a dream that fear does not need a reason to exist, just as dark does not need light to exist. Dark is always everywhere, and then light comes in to clear it out. We live in fear, fear of nothing in particular, we just fear what we do not fully know, and we know nothing for sure. So we make up reasons to take the risk, because reason is what drives us, even through fear. We decide to run a track, we run and collect data, and we complete the track. And now it seems ok, it was not as scary as it seemed, in fact it wasn’t scary at all. So where was that fear coming from?

Once we begin to run this track again, now with more reason to not be afraid of it, this track turns into a tradition. We like to feel safe, we like to be in comfort, we run the same tracks until our shoes wear out and we cannot run through life no longer.

What have you learned from your circles? Have you outlived the fear that stalked you?

This very long entry should make up for no posts during this week.
This one is on Christian churches.

The definition of the word “Church” is quite simple:
A gathering of people who share the same belief. A community of people.

I once heard a sermon with a claim that a church is not run by a schedule or a program. That people come to church not for the service, they come to church for God.

It is true that Christians come to church for God, but that is true because Christians should do everything for God. You can sit at home with your door locked, and do whatever it is you think it means to worship God. You can also read the bible any and every second of your whole week. You can listen to God every second of your life, as well as praise him. So then why do you go to church?

Do you go to church for the sermon, for the worship music, for the pastor to share his view on a bible verse, or for your own happiness? No, of course, you go to church for God. But would you still go to church for God, if no one would show up? No. You would rather go see friends, or stay at home and read the bible. Lone, even with God. Doesn’t this remind you of someone? Adam, before Eve. Adam was not a sinner, yet he was alone. God gave him someone to share with, someone to talk with. Fellowship – Is this not the reason we go to church? We go to church for others like us, people. And because we all believe, we do it for God.

So we go to church for those who know right, or at least believe. But when we get there, we sit down and go with the program. Sometimes even nearly fall asleep during a boring sermon. We hear popular music that sounds exactly like the music made by those who are not christian, the ”secular” (“those of the world”). In some churches we have traditional hymns and the choir that always sounds the same, in others we feel like we are at a concert. We are told to pray, at a scheduled point in time. The church ends at the same time as always, unless a pastor decides to put in a few more words. We might say “hi” to others before and after the service, but “How are you?” is as far as it goes.

All of the church attenders have lives too, they all have 6 days to go through in their daily life, to make choices, and to realize many marvelous things. Trials and tribulations, journeys. They all have something to say. We all have something we’re dealing with, and we all have something to share. We sit by such a big number of Christians who are just like us, who might hold something that we seek, or who might be those that we could help. But that is alright, we would rather hear a sermon from a pastor, maybe even a sermon that we have acknowledged many times before. We would rather hear/sing a song that is somehow related to Christianity, instead of singing our song of praise. Who said that music is the way to worship?

I understand, there is no way to make everyone happy. But this should not be the church’s mission. Words are thrown out by pastors to make us giggle, to make us clap our hands in entertainment. Words are said to make us fell good, and more comfortable. Words are said with biblical facts, in a sleazy way to make you feel accepted. A donation plate is then passed around, to collect money for the progression of the church. If I were assured that my money would be doing the works of God, I would be more than happy to give it to the Lord. If not, then this is just a business. Happiness for cash. My money would be better used by me.

Is this what God had in mind for giving the Sunday to him? Reading the bible, it seems to me as if churches have forgotten just what Jesus was against. Leaders setting up businesses within the church, exchanging money for happiness. This is not Christianity. Is this not what Jesus showed aggression for?

Compare Jesus’ time with today’s. Back then Jesus had a place to go to, to share with the wise. (even if he didn’t tell his parents ) Today, our churches open on Sunday mornings as a tribute, and close some hours later.

Suddenly, “those of the world” and “Christians” don’t seem so far apart. Some churches talk so much trash of the world, that they forget the fact that we live in the world also. This only makes the church more strict, and the power of the church – the youth, suddenly develops a second life. They are not taught of real life lessons, but are just told “no” to the world altogether. And so the church feels the need to open up more, to accept the new generation and a part of the world. Are Christians not the ones above the influence of the world? How will you know what good and bad is, when you reject it altogether? What Jesus taught was not tradition, but reason.

I’m starting to believe that some generations of Christianity will soon be built out of Atheist-Christians. Because it’s not as much about God, as it is about the pursuit of happiness, to keep the business going.

See Barack Obama’s campaign rallies to see what I mean. And looking at the “Christian music industry”, apparently if you are a “Christian” then all your songs on all your albums are, too. You get the picture of where this is going.

Christianity is not about happiness, though for some reason, most churches try to portray it as that. Christianity should be seen as something more than the world, Christianity is about being open minded, noting the stupid things in the world, it’s about reason and belief higher than what the world could ever set forth. A Christian church should be open to making things better. I was hoping that the older traditional churches would grow out of their traditions, but they are instead growing into the religion that the world portrays Christianity as – something to makes the people happy and gives them something to think about.

I am a Christian, but I don’t feel like going to church and seeing the same traditions, some already evolved into pursuit of happiness.

Apologies for the long entry, but I do mean every word.

The most generic question of all – Who are you?

From the second we are born, we learn of our surroundings. We become influenced by everything we sense. Our sponge-like mind takes everything in to find out one thing: what is going on.

As we grow older, we learn to adapt and work around our surroundings. Because what we know of is just small apples, what we do – we do not care. We find things that give us entertainment, our work-around for being bored. Our 13 year-old philosophy comes in. Everything is unimportant, there is lots of time to kill.

Then as responsibilities start coming in, we start to realize that we’re made for more. But we’re still talking small apples, nothing big enough that’s worth our time. To start doing something, we need to be pushed. To start a conversation, to try and go with something, we need to be pushed. Because nothing is big enough, nothing is worth our time. We say “eh” to everything we come across. But when we realize something, then we feel like sharing, so we start to babble non stop. Now, was that really that big of an apple? No, and even at that time we would agree. But we made the step to say it anyway.

Now we’re at the stage at which many did not make it to. Many got lost in killing time, and many made a life in babbling about what they know. At this stage, we realize just what the world is – undefined.

Everything we absorbed as children, everything we thought we knew, we now see it all as a theory. Something we were taught. Most of it makes sense, but there is all this “other” now. Life and our surroundings change just who we are, we realize. We start to look at who we are. We see the resemblances in ourselves, of those who were around us.

If from the day we were born we have been under the influence of others, just who are we, ourselves?

We’re.. no one. Our choices and surroundings define us. We are who we are today.

Thrown as a frisbee out into the world, without a real identification. Given this grown ”self” so that we could make choices. Nothing is defined, because no one knows for sure – everything is a theory. Here to live a life, here to make our choices.

We are the big apple.

Two odd concepts popped into my head yesterday.
Warning: This post is a bit too much on tech terms.

I was staring down at my sleeve with poor lighting, and once I stopped moving I noticed that I could no longer tell how far away my arm was from my eyes. With poor lighting, I saw 2D.

Then, while explaining “virtual memory” at work, a thought popped into my mind.

Our minds are made up of 2: the conscious, and the un-conscious.
Simply put, the conscious is what you control, the un-conscious is what you cannot control.

So, let’s say the un-conscious is a computer hard drive. This hard drive is made up of 90 GB. This hard drive is where we store our memories and what keeps the computer running on auto-pilot without breaking the hardware. Then we have our virtual memory, this memory isn’t really there, it’s made for us to seem real, a projectory, and it works because of some chips that hold about 10 GB. This is our conscious mind, it lets us open memories from our hard drive, the un-conscious. Virtual memory is what you see on a computer screen, what is open, what we see exists. There isn’t an actual “Greenland” website inside of you, memory data is just open, and makes you see it virtually, you don’t see it because it’s physical, it is not physical. Sometimes, we know that we have a piece of information on our hard rive, but it doesn’t pop-up at the top of our minds. So we concentrate and search for keywords that might find this file, and there it is, now opened in our virtual memory.

We only use 10% of our mind, only because we only use 10 GB of our whole 100 GB mind. The remaining 90%, or 90 GB, is just a memory disk with administrative tools. In fact, we don’t quite know exactly what the un-conscious does, because it doesn’t make it a conscious thing for us to know. We cannot see it, therefor we do not know. Our un-conscious collects data from our eyes, ears, nervous system, etc. But we do not realize what it is, until the un-conscious brings it up on our “conscious screen” – what we see, what we know, what we are. We turn off the computer monitor screen when we go to sleep, the computer is still fully working. We only know who and what we are, when we wake up. This means that our knowledge of existence comes from our conscious mind. Could this mean that our reality is only being projected to us from our un-conscious? Is “I” a virtual being of my mind?

This almost sounds as if we are only seeing the 3D, because of the lighting. Without light, X & Y would still exist, but we wouldn’t acknowledge of it’s existence. We would just be living in what we know, pitch black.

Hmm..

We have the power to organize, to make a change. Now we sit in our homes, along with our possessions. We have our place to sleep, eat, and our source of entertainment. Jobs for us to make a good living.

As kids, we’re thrown into school that we don’t like. School, where we’re turned into plastic by the failed and still failing further “education” system of the liberal wackos. Personally when I, a former grade A student, started to fall into the cracks of the public school system, I went to speak with my counselor. This was middle school. On talking about moving me up a class, I was asked the following: “Have you ever thought of suicide?” Now at the time, for me it was a serious business going to school. I ignored just how random it was of a question and replied with a ”no”. Just recently, I found out that a friend of mine ran into the exact same scenario, same city, another public school. I can only imagine just how many of these events occurred, that I know not of. My friend didn’t take the question as lightly as I did; he told the counselor some things that his parents would not like to hear him say. He got in trouble for it at school, and at home.

This isn’t the worst part of public schools, of course. But the best part is that you are stuck with others who are treated as badly as you are. It’s easy to make friends, once you get past the mean kids who have the lowest education at school as well as at home. When you’re stuck with others like you, you make the best of it, you have fun. Looking back, is this the only way to meet people and have fun? To be stuck in a world you would want to escape, are cages the only places to go to these days?

So, you’ve now either put up with school and graduated, or most likely dropped out. Welcome to your new life, free from school. And after time we lose contact with our school buddies. We sit and look outside in thought: “What is there to do?…” So we go visit a park, but there aren’t any benches there. We go visit a local school ground, there’s nothing there. We visit a church, in thought of a good crowd – but the church is only open on sunday mornings. We visit the dirty roads of where we used to kick rocks out of frustration. It’s not the same. We turn on the TV to see the good ol’ empty promises from those who are worth more than us because they talk as leaders. We go online to realize how immature the kids on MySpace are. Nothing to do. Once we find something mildly entertaining, we go at it full speed until we’re done, what’s left is nothing. So many organizations claiming to make the world a better place, where are they now? We get a job, we earn some money. We give our half-way smiles out to random strangers, happy as a clown.

Some just don’t realize what they’re doing. Looking for something in the wrong place. Our cities have adult entertainment places, bars, and clubs. Parents crying over where their child ended up.

Give us an alternative. Give us something to do, something we can hold on to.

All this time we wait for change, we want some hope for something new. Barack Obama is not this change, television is not change, change comes from dreams, realistic dreams come from negativity. I hear a lot of “don’t do”, but where is the alternative?

If you can relate, stop feeling sorry for yourself, organize something.
If you’re on the wrong side of “nothing to do”, that little voice that says “this is wrong” means it.

No one cares, they only care for your physical well-being. If I were to tell someone about a state of mind, or maybe a problem, maybe just something I’m concerned with. They wouldn’t answer it because they truly care. No matter who they are to me. They would answer because I am presenting to them a problem that they now feel the need to solve. They would not be ok with themselves if they would not help me with a solution. They avoid these situations. This is how we care, to not hurt ourselves. We do have a care to do the right thing, to help others. However, as long as things look fine physically, we think it’s fine. ”How is life” is only asked to put us all on the spot and teach us to seem happy. Next time I will have a prepared real answer. They will call me negative, they won’t find me very fun, just too truthful. At least they won’t ask me that question again. And through all this time, they will not feel self-conscious, because everytime they do, they fill it with something to protect themselves from their human flaws. This protection is often inhumane, and doesn’t quite make sense. Like paying extra for a “Green” tag, to make you feel like you’ve done your part and that you’re a good person. Put out that cigarette, and forget about your patches!

Is it really bad when a moment creeps to being awkward? When even the most realistic fake smile makes you panic. Do you feel exposed? Maybe you should stop living for the world, start to explore your own. Then you will see, a body by it’s own, looking to understand the system, circling the skies for answers of your own, wondering what others think. How is life, my friend. What have you been doing with your mind lately. I don’t care about your clothes, “life”, or makeup. How are you?

We are so used to putting up with garbage, that we often mistake the brilliant for trash. We don’t read news articles, we scan them. Take the information we want, leaving the pointless sentences to the lame and boring.

I do believe that we should do what we think is ideal, even if everything around us is not. Make something in the world for others to learn right from, and to also appreciate. Even if it takes a lifetime, whatever we do, we do it for the future. I do believe that we should read word-for-word and that points should be made before their long descriptions. I try to write each and every word in it’s full meaning, for a reason. I do think that we should be using words by their actual meanings, to say what we want to say, not to use words for their traditions and “sayings”. (though that can also be useful sometimes)

For example, “curse words” are just that. Misused words, out of context, said as a curse. Curse words. You don’t even need to know what the word means, because you do not use the word to describe something. It’s an empty word, it can be any word. Any word that you use out of context, is a bad word. It doesn’t make you cool, just horrible at communicating. We try to say what we need to say, so watch your mouth.

We try, and sometimes we mess up. We say things that we know at that very moment. This means that in the next second, we could change our mind completely. Our opinion is who we say we are. If we are constantly changing, that means that you and I should never hold anything against each other. If we do, we pass final judgement on either that person or a subject. That is called judging others. Instead of making that foolish mistake, you could just take words as the words that they are. You’re free to think about it, as well as come to conclusions, but you don’t know exactly what that person has in mind. That person is trying to communicate, and you cannot read his mind. Therefor you are not in the position to Judge. The exact same thing goes to ”Swearing”. A swear is an oath, a pledge. You don’t know the future, therefor you do not make promises that you don’t know the outcome to. No matter how sure you are, you are not in the position. If you need to make a promise in order to validate that you are not lying, why would you be lying in the first place? You shouldn’t be lying.

Words are made up in order for us to communicate, that’s pretty important. Don’t ruin it for all of us.

Words - Leave a few in a comment for me please.

Thinking black & white, in a colored world.

Take any motion picture for example. Is this movie good, or is it bad? Must it be one or the other? Are we going through life to label what we come across? We see color, and we enjoy it. Everything you see and hear will change you in some way, this is why we categorize the colors to what we believe in and what we do not. Bad and good, black and white.

A film is based off of many scientific parts such as: sound, camera angle, acting, story, and etc. You obviously could like one thing but not another. When we make the conclusion of a film being a good one or a bad one, we summarize it with an answer to questions like: “Would I see it again?”, “Would I recommend this person to see it?”, and most importantly “Would I let my child see it?” You have the power to influence someone with this movie (or anything else), if you think it would do them good. Or possibly bad, this is why we started a age-based ratings system for films. (The system is corrupt today, because of our public education corruption, but that’s another topic)

You’ve got to set your mind to be open to what is presented; color. Accept it as it is given, and only then can you come to a conclusion. If not, what you have is a firewall without a gate. You will fire with what you know at this moment, without even seeing the full picture. You will not only make yourself look bad, but also make life harder for whoever you are speaking with.

That was about color. But for some, it’s hard to see past the good colors. And for some others, it’s hard to see past the bad colors. This is something I’d like to call Positive/Negative labeling.

I’m not sure how old this expression is, but from my time a popular expression of what we don’t like is: “that’s gay”. I doubt many can explain just why they say that, so here it is: When someone is very happy, to the point where they cannot think straight, they often find the things that “over-do it” as just “ok to do”. That’s gay. You could say that it’s “living positive” to the point where you do not notice the bad in it. Living in your own world, being unrealistic, not seeing any colors that give off a dark shade.

Seeing color doesn’t only make you open minded and see more in life, but also makes it less of a hassle for everyone else on this colorful planet, because they don’t have to deal with your firewall every time they try to have a discussion or just a talk. As much as we’re used to thinking black & white, we must remember that the world is not black & white.

I’ll post more on positivity and negativity in the future posts because it’s a big subject.

Please leave feedback.
