For a moment, take a look at your life from the up-right side view. Where are you in the life that you have in mind for yourself? Whether you fought hard for something or gave up on everything, where are you now?
Everything that we get into is a circular track field. We run through these tracks with the clock running. We run in the tracks learning new things, sometimes we feel like quiting, at other times it’s so easy that we would like to run a track a few extra times. How many times have you lapped your tracks?
We end up running through all that we already know, we run through it so many times that we forget everything else. We only see our track point of view, our endless lane. We say and do things that we don’t mean, we’re just used to it. We’re scarred of what we do not know, we are more comfortable running our tracks over and over. After time we might move on with some things, as well as find new tracks.
Perhaps traditions and comforts are enough for a lifetime. But is there something more? I’ve been thinking for some time now, and I still can’t quite say it right. Roughly put, can someone live in a constant state of change? Can we be willing to learn like a child, absorb knowledge, sort it out in our head, and live by our best answer while still constantly absorbing new ideas? Are we too lazy to learn? Too lazy to explore? Where are we now - what makes it so comfortable for us?
The world spins on tradition. Everything progresses slowly by circular twirling in a bowl, mixing an idea into it every now and then to progress. Money often holds things back since there’s always money to be made off of everything. But it’s the little personal things that I think are being treated too well as traditions. For example, public relations. Yes, back to the topic of the fake smiles. You can see the world turn in a glowing blur, and you’ll go through your day without even remembering what you did. Or you can see the moments at their raw source – the awkward moments. We’re just afraid.
A few months back I learned from a dream that fear does not need a reason to exist, just as dark does not need light to exist. Dark is always everywhere, and then light comes in to clear it out. We live in fear, fear of nothing in particular, we just fear what we do not fully know, and we know nothing for sure. So we make up reasons to take the risk, because reason is what drives us, even through fear. We decide to run a track, we run and collect data, and we complete the track. And now it seems ok, it was not as scary as it seemed, in fact it wasn’t scary at all. So where was that fear coming from?
Once we begin to run this track again, now with more reason to not be afraid of it, this track turns into a tradition. We like to feel safe, we like to be in comfort, we run the same tracks until our shoes wear out and we cannot run through life no longer.
What have you learned from your circles? Have you outlived the fear that stalked you?

For many people, life does that constant slow carousel thing you mentioned. For me, I just want to get off this damn roller coaster.
